Recently, Jessica of Silverberry Occasions  asked me to create some rustic-chic mini cakes for an equestrian themed style shoot. I was ecstatic to say the least!

Not your mother's cupcakes!

As a cake designer I sometimes get some rather fun and quirky design requests. I love trying new ideas and pushing my design skill to the limit and when a bride-to-be asked me to create these cupcakes for her bridal shower I was totally psyched because I knew I could add little details that would give these cupcakes a 'wow factor' .

Needless to say, when I showed my mom the finished product she shook her head and said something along the lines of what happened to pretty flowers and bows for bridal showers?! Times are changin' mommy dearest !

I cut out each of these mini items free hand from gumpaste and added tiny details using royal icing.

I dream in cake! I love cake and I simply love what I do!

I am a 20 something year old cake designer and owner of Pretty Sweet Cakes- By Savera.
